  1. Tried to install on windows 7 machine. Not successful. It did create the folder. The following is the result

    Greeting user Harry Ivory

This computer is running the Windows 7 operating system, version 6.1
This program has not been tested on this operating system, but I’ll attempt to install the program.
Use the Contact the author page on the MR SLAM Formatter website to notify me of issues.
Copy the info from the installer’s window and paste it into the message

This computer is running Java version 1.8.0_281
This computer is running Java specification version 1.8

Preparing to install the program in your home directory: C:\Users\Harry Ivory
directory C:\Users\Harry Ivory\MR SLAM FORMATTER already exists

MR SLAM Formatter was NOT successfully installed as the required folder couldn’t be created.

Make sure you extracted the download and then executed the installer.
If that doesn’t resolve the issue, delete the download
and then download a fresh copy of the install file and attempt the install again.
Should you still have difficulties use the Contact the Author page on the website to notify me of the issue.
Copy the info from the installer’s window and paste it into the message

MR SLAM Formatter has been successfully installed at C:\Users\Harry Ivory\MR SLAM FORMATTER

Press the Exit button to exit the installer.

    1. Harry, thank you for your interest in MR SLAM Formatter. I don’t have a Windows 7 machine, but if JMRI runs on your machine with Windows 7, then MR SLAM Formatter should also. The issue is likely with the installer. The error you describe is seen if you simply open the zip file instead of extracting the files into another folder and then running the installer. Please be sure that you extract the zip file and then run the installer from the extracted file.

If the above doesn’t resolve your issue then I suggest you manually copy the contents of the “source” folder within the install folder to the MR SLAM Formatter folder. Then execute the MR SLAM Formatter.jar.

Let me know if the above works.

      Tim
