My model railroad, The Harlan Sub, is an 18 x 9′ double-decked N-Scale layout. It is set in the 1950s in Southeastern Kentucky along the Louisville & Nashville’s Cumberland Valley Division. This is coal country and my layout is principally a coal hauler from the mines around Harlan, KY to the marshalling yard at Loyall, KY and then to the division point yard at Corbin, KY.
