Since it’s humble beginnings on April 25, 2021, this is the twenty sixth version of this program to be offered. The program continues to grow in capabilities and ease of use thanks to user feedback and suggestions. Please send any suggestions to me at mrslamf21@gmail.com
New Features in version 2.08
- Expanded the text color options for all of the various text fields.
- A number of text fields are now line wrapped at the page / column boundary instead of being truncated. This is not an option but is hard coded in. See manual section VI.A for more info.
- The train’s manifest description in the header of a manifest is now line wrapped.
- The listing of trains served in the header of a switch list is now line wrapped.
- All comment fields (train, route, switch list, location, car, locomotive, etc) are now line wrapped .
- New options were installed to enable/disable the printing of a car’s route path on manifests and switch lists, when that information is provided by JMRI in the csv.. See manual section X.Y for more information.
- Added button to the Change Loco Field Names window to reset all fields back to their default value. See manual section XIII.H for more information.
- When the TRUN mode is set in JMRI, and MR SLAM Formatter’s manifest preference for “Truncate car lines” is in JMRI mode, the program now writes a statement at the end of the car lines to “See location’s switch list for track info”. In previous versions the program only added such a message if the MR SLAM Formatter’s “Truncate car lines” preference was set to “PU Only” or “Complete”. See section X. Q for more information.
- At the request of user Michael G., I added a preference setting for where on the top line of the first page that the railroad name is printed; centered on the page or at the left margin. See section IX,L for more information.
- Thanks to user Kelly R. for testing the program under Linux Mint v 22 and for providing the Linux installation instructions.
Bug Fixes
- Fixed a bug that caused some car comments to be doubly indented.
- Fixed a bug that caused the last train to not be printed on a switch list, when the “one train per page” option was enabled. Thanks to Scott L. for pointing this out.
- Fixed a bug in switch lists where a train that was in route when the swl was created, the swl failed to show the train en route message or direction of travel on subsequent visits.
